Link Legal India Law Services hosts an interactive session on ‘Revenue Maximization through Efficient Contract Management and Recent trends in Arbitration including Role of Experts in Arbitration’ in Hyderabad - 10 January 2018

Link Legal India Law Services has been actively holding a series of workshops/events on various relevant topics both in India and outside as part of our “thought leadership” initiatives. We have developed a forum for exchange of information between professionals on active trends, regulatory changes and market conditions.

Firm recently held an interactive session on ‘Revenue Maximization through Efficient Contract Management and Recent trends in Arbitration including Role of Experts in Arbitration’, and brought together various leaders from the infrastructure and construction industry. The event took place on 10th January at Trident, Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad.

Panelists from Link Legal included Mr. Atul Sharma, Managing Partner, Mr. Martin Harman, CBE, Chair International Business, Mr. Ravi Varma, Partner, and Mr. Sharad Anand, Senior Consultant.

The event was split into two sessions, where the first session focussed on ‘Revenue Maximisation through Efficient Contract Management’ and emphasised on the importance of managing the contracting process in a project, from the contracting strategy to the project hand-over, and highlighted the role of a contract manager in the entire process. There was also a discussion on the various facets of the lifecycle of a project and the value addition that could be brought about by successful streamlining of contract management processes.

The second session concentrated on ‘Recent trends in Arbitration’, including role of Experts in Arbitration. More and more arbitrators and parties are engaging experts at various stages to provide an expert opinion on the technical matters, thus enabling the arbitrators to be well informed and get an independent perspective which in effect strengthens and makes the arbitration process more effective and efficient. The panel also expounded on the recent amendments made to the Arbitration Act and the recommendation of the Srikrishna Report. Mr. Harman enlightened the audience with ways to enhance the prospects of success in international arbitration.

It was an interactive session where the attendees raised various queries and shared their experiences.
